FYI... today still a lot of movies only require and are formatted for a 5.1 Home Theatre System. So for the normal everyday house hold the 5.1  System would work very well. Ofcourse if building a new home and you were looking to prewire for a 5.1 Home theatre System, ….I would say STOP!!!, you might as well prewire for a 7.1 Theatre System, because as time goes by, more and more things will be made for this. Some of the games now can already be played on the 7.1 system. A 5.1 Home Theatre System is great, but a 7.1 is even better.
